Position: Worship & Team Leader Apprentice
Timeframe: Fall ‘26 & Spring ‘27
As a Downtown Singing Intern, your job will be to plan, organize, and lead the teams who make the worship portion of the organization a reality. You’ll be responsible for scheduling the Worship Leaders and Praise Team, planning the order of the service, and conducting the midweek & Sunday rehearsal. Essentially, you’ll be responsible for leading everything that takes place “on-stage” during the service. In addition to your leadership, your work will be instrumental in shaping the semester theme and implementing its vision into every week of Downtown Singing.
Downtown Singing uses a wide variety of tools and techniques including a relevant social media presence and live-recorded albums to remain in touch with students both on and off campus. We deeply believe in empowering students to lead their peers and equipping them to step into real-world, life changing ministry every single day. Our "out-of-the-box" and energetic approach to ministry is what helps us reach and connect with hundreds of students every single week. The interns are essential to pushing the mission and vision of Downtown Singing, and maintaining both Downtown Singing's culture and relevancy among students.
With this position, you can expect about 10 hours of work a week. Pay will be negotiated in interviews and will be in accordance with Downtown’s Apprentice & Internship Program.
We will have a retreat to kick off the semester. Unless negotiated before hiring, we ask all interns to be in attendance for the full duration of the retreat. More information about the retreat will be provided during interviews.
