our vision is to be the
we will lead the way with irrational generosity
Generously using our resources for the sake of others is a mark of following Jesus. One way we practice this is by giving financially to our local church. At DC, those gifts support the relational work of serving our church family and our neighbors as we seek to share the good news of Jesus in all we say and do. Because of the generous support of our church, we’re honored to operate one of the largest private food pantries in the state, partner with 12 local non-profits in our county, and support missionaries across our nation and the world.
how much do I give?
The Bible offers a range to guide us—from the traditional 10% tithe in the Old Testament (Leviticus 27) to the radical generosity of giving everything found in the widow at the temple (Luke 21) and Jesus’ instructions to the Rich Young Ruler (Luke 18). At the heart of it all is the realization that everything we own actually belongs to God, and we are simply stewards who will one day give an account of how we managed His resources. Our goal isn't to hit a specific percentage but to joyfully and sacrificially give from a place of gratitude.
